Groom cake of the week 7/21/10
Turtle Power. Cowabunga dude. This awesome TMNT reminds me growing up in the 80's/90's. Which is why this cake was selected for cake of the week
FYI - The purpose if posting a groom cake of the week is not to promote vendors but to promote ideas of groom cakes for any potential future groom.

A year from tomorrow I’m getting married
Well it’s official. My unmarried day remains 365 nights from today. June 18th, 2011 I will be married to my wonderful fiancée. Our lives will be forever changed. We are in great shape right now for our wedding. All of our vendors are booked. Our Hall/hotel has been booked. Our photo, video, flowers and bakery for wedding cake have all been booked. Everyone likes to ask me how our wedding planning coming along is. I do have to admit its been an easy process. As long as you book everything right away once you’re engaged you’re allowing yourself plenty of free time. Which is why I’m able to blog about ideas and other stuff in this blog…lol

154lbs as of Today
After being engaged for a month both my fiancée and I decided we need to get in shape for our wedding. We didn’t want to start 3 months or 6 months or even a year before our wedding to get into shape. We have committed ourselves to better healthy life. We plan to stick to this commitment far into our long marriage. Nov 15th 2009. I was 168lbs. I’m happy as of today June 16th that I’m now 154lbs. That’s 14lbs lost (.5lbs per week)
My first step of losing weight was to hire a personal trainer. We needed to learn how to properly workout. For 5 months until I felt conformable I’ve worked out with the trainer twice a week. Each session he gave us wonderful diet tips. After our engagement party two months ago I promised to join a gym. Now I work out 4 days a week. I really enjoy making my health and exercise a top priority.
My diet consists of the following:
1) No soda or carbonated beverages.
2) Drink plenty of water.
3) No bread. Once a week if you have a piece it’s not going to hurt you
4) Pasta became wheat pasta
5) If you do eat bread have wheat bread
6) White rice became brown rice
7) Eating 3x a day (healthy breakfast, Healthy lunch and healthy dinner.
8) Avoid sweets (Cookies, Cakes, donuts and anything packed with sugar)
If you do have any sweets make sure its for the right occasion
9) Eat your veggies
My workout’s consist of the following:
Day 1 – Chest, Back, Traps
Day 2 – Legs
Day 3 – Arms and shoulders
Day 4 – ABS
You also want to throw in two days of cardio.

Ed Hardy White wine
During this past weekend we decided to hang out at a friend’s house. Its proper manners to bring something over when going over someone’s house regardless of the occasion. My friend was having a bad day so I’ve asked if she would prefer either some beer or wine for us to bring over. I’ve provided the option. I’m a good person for that. Since my friend suggested that she prefers white wine over beer. I’ve decided to go visit a near by liquor/wine store. I was shocked when I’ve seen a bottle of white wine with the Ed Hardy logo over it. So I’ve decided to be adventurous and try it out. It was pretty good. I was also informed from the counter guy that Ed Hardy makes not only a white wine but also a Red wine and vodka. So if you want to add Ed Hardy to your wedding for beverages that I suggest you should give them a tasting

Thanks to Tieapedia for this week’s submission. Especially with father’s day right around the corner of for those grooms that want to be Gordon Gekko. That’s exactly what this groom cake reminds me of. Also check out other tie cakes that Tieapedia.com posted on there blog.

Sports team toasters
While shopping with my finance this past weekend I’ve came across this awesome MLB team logo toaster. It imprints your favorite team logo on the toast. How awesome is that? This could make a nice gift for your grooms or something to add to a bridal registry when our future bride is not looking. Cough…cough. They also make Team logo toasters for football, Hockey and basketball. Two friends recently bought homes and for a house warming gift I’ve bought one for a Yankees fan and another for a Boston Red Sox fan. It was really painful to order the Red Sox one. But I still managed to do so.
Check out www.pangeabrands.com to learn more about the sports team toasters. I'm sure any sports nut you know would like this gift
